ALMEMO®: up to 4 measuring channels on 1 measuring input!
With the ALMEMO®-system the number of measuring channels, which is
available at the corresponding measuring input, depends on the instrument and the sensor
in use. The reason for that is based on the patented ALMEMO®-connector-system:
The ALMEMO®-connector contains 6 screw-terminals, 2 for the sensor power
supply, 4 for the measurement signal of the sensor. Using Pt100-sensors with
4-wire-circuit all of the free connections are needed for the measurement signal. Thus,
only one sensor of this type can be connected to one measuring input. Electrical signals
only need 2 connections for the measurement signal. Therefore, two different measurement
signals can be with one measuring channel each can be measured with one connector.
Humidity sensors for example are often combined with a temperature sensor.
The corresponding calculating values (e.g. dew point, mixture ratio, partial vapour
pressure, enthalpie) are programmed in the connector as additional measuring channels.
For each measuring input a maximum number of 4 measuring channels can be output, however.
Some instruments have a limited number of measuring channels at each measuring input.
Using dataloggers, only 2 measuring channels are available for each measuring input by
standard.
ALMEMO®: acquisition, documentation, evaluation
ALMEMO®-instruments are the solution for many measurement applications.
Data recording, decentral data acquisition and computer evaluation are often standard
requirements.
To make it easier for you to find the suitable instrument concerning your individual
measurement applications,
we included a symbol to the instrument data:
